One of the main attractions in the famed city of Port Royal, Gloria’s ‘Rendevous’ stands as one of Kingston’s most respected restaurants. It is most popular for their steamed fish. With its original venue intact, and an impressive renovation and expansion of its street-side ‘tavernesque’ shop, Gloria’s is more than ready to accommodate and satisfy you and yours. Now in the city!
We were greeted as soon as we entered, and information was given as it relates to our seats, the menu, the time frame for the food, the wifi password, etc We were seated, our order was taken, and delicious food was received in a timely manner, and during the wait time for the food, we were updated as it relates to the time frame to receive it. The atmosphere, food, staff, etc all great. Highly recommended
Recently went back to Gloria, there was raffle for tropical punch going on. Seafood still good this visit food, ill say was done by new chef it was just ok, portions size good.
Went on a Saturday night the place was packed. My order took over an hour to be ready but it was worth the wait the food was 9/10
I've been to Gloria's on many occasions. The food is usually great and the service is usually top tier. However it seems they underestimated the Fathers day crowd. After being seated we had to wait 20mins before getting our drinks to start with. The server was clearly overwhelmed which made her attitude quite nasty. Very snappy and condescending. Carrying the wrong order and snapping at being corrected. We then had to call MULTIPLE times to get the bill. We were so turned off when the food arrived we packed it up to go. As I said before, I've been on many occasions and have had spectacular service and great food. JUNE 15TH however was a miss.
Gloria's Port Royal is my most preferred however since I work in Kingston, I would often stop by the one by Ocean front downtown Kingston for their delicious fritters and soup. The ambiance is awesome and the view from the outdoor patio breaktaking. One can sit and enjoy a sumptuous meal overlooking the Harbour whilst seeing the airport and Portmore in the distance. The drawbacks limited parking and the nauseous foul smell from the ocean. Stop by last Thursday as I needed to eat and almost fainted from the smell. I know Gloria's as no control over that aspect so I'm hoping the authorities can fix this problem as it is affecting a great brand and establishment. Along the stretch by the seaside persons, who choose to relax or go for a meal at any of the food establishments on the waterfront is greeted with this disgusting stench.
